Core Design Principles
Every island begins with buoyancy mapping. We layer reclaimed HDPE barrels, decommissioned dock foam, and recycled fishing net matrices to distribute weight across multiple flotation zones. The base flexes with wave action rather than fighting it—mimicking kelp raft behavior observed in coastal ecosystems.
Anchoring uses helix moorings and biodegradable fiber ropes that degrade predictably, allowing relocation without seabed scarring. Decking comes from compressed ocean plastic composite planks, UV-stabilized and rated for saltwater exposure.
