Materials We Transform
Every piece of our floating island begins as something discarded. Plastic bottles pulled from waterways, abandoned fishing nets, reclaimed construction materials—we're proving that waste can become wonder when handled with intention.
From Ocean to Infrastructure
Our primary materials include post-consumer HDPE and PET plastics, repurposed into buoyant modular blocks. We partner with coastal cleanup initiatives and municipal recycling programs to source materials that would otherwise persist in marine ecosystems for centuries. Each island platform diverts roughly 2,400 kilograms of plastic from potential ocean entry.
Beyond Plastic
Reclaimed aluminum and steel provide structural reinforcement, while salvaged rope and netting—often ghost gear recovered by fishing communities—create protective barriers and planting matrices. Timber components come exclusively from certified salvage yards, giving construction offcuts and demolished building materials a second, more beautiful purpose.
Environmental Accounting
Choosing recycled materials reduces our carbon footprint by 67% compared to virgin production. More importantly, it closes loops—turning pollution into possibility and demonstrating that sustainability isn't sacrifice. It's intelligent design.
